About the Role

What’s the mission you’ll drive

Be a proactive member of the team driving the successful execution of Addi's capital markets strategy by structuring and negotiating complex debt facilities that fuel our growth while ensuring our funding operations are efficient, scalable, and prepared for our transition into a regulated compañía de financiamiento

What you will do

  • Close a growing pipeline of new or renewed debt facilities independently managing negotiations with local and international lenders to secure the capital needed for our loan book growth targets.

  • Reduce the average closing time for standard debt facilities by developing and implementing standardized legal templates, negotiation playbooks, and improving internal stakeholder alignment processes.

  • Support the structuring and closing of at least one new, diversified funding structure (e.g., securitization, private placement), expanding our funding sources beyond traditional warehouse facilities.

  • Become a key legal point of contact and a trusted advisor for the Capital Markets team , demonstrating deep subject matter expertise and proactive problem-solving in all funding transactions, while maintaining a direct communication channel with the Senior Legal Capital Markets Manager.

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced in financial and structured transactions

    • At least 4 years of experience in the banking & finance, capital markets, or structured finance practice of a top-tier law firm.

    • Proven track record as a key lawyer on multiple closed debt financing transactions, particularly cross-border deals involving asset-backed securities, warehouse facilities, or securitizations.

    • Demonstrated success in leading negotiations and managing transaction closings (closing checklists and signing process) for complex financial agreements in both English and Spanish.

    • Ideally has direct experience advising banks or other regulated financial entities on financing transactions or regulatory capital.

    • Ideally understands the specific legal and compliance constraints of operating as a regulated entity.

  • Proven track record of executing complex financing transactions

    • Demonstrates deep knowledge of cross-border asset-backed financing, especially warehouse facilities, securitizations, and revolving credit facilities.

    • Balances the company's need for speed and efficiency while effectively protecting its legal and commercial interests.

    • Has experience in managing drafts of legal documents and all legal aspects of a financing deal, from term sheet to closing and monitoring post-closing covenants.

    • Asks questions, context and guidance when needed, either due to the complexities of a particular transactions or for lack of familiarity with the company's standards and interests.

  • Demonstrates negotiation skills with sophisticated counterparts

    • Successfully negotiates complex, multi-party agreements with international and local lenders.

    • Maintains a firm, solution-oriented (pro-business) approach to find common ground and close deals on favorable terms.

    • Clearly articulates legal risks and commercial implications to internal stakeholders to drive decisive action.

    • Is not afraid, and has enough discretion, to reach out to the GC or Senior Legal Capital Markets Manager to get involved or support he/her in a particular complex negotiation.

  • Possesses basic financial and capital markets regulatory acumen

    • Identifies (or asks the relevant questions to identify) potential red flags in transactions by applying a solid understanding of relevant regulations.

    • Effectively partners with external counsel to navigate complex regulatory landscapes in Colombia and other key jurisdictions.

    • Proactively stays updated on regulatory changes that could impact current and future funding structures.

  • Track record of exceptional stakeholder management and communication

    • Builds strong, trust-based relationships with internal teams (Legal, Capital Markets, Finance) and external partners.

    • Communicates complex legal concepts clearly and concisely to non-lawyers, including senior executives.

    • Negotiates and drafts complex legal documents fluently in both English and Spanish.

  • Demonstrates a high-impact, problem-solving mindset with full ownership

    • Thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, managing multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously.

    • Takes end-to-end ownership of their work, anticipating potential roadblocks and developing creative, commercially-viable solutions.

    • Operates with a sense of urgency and autonomy to drive results, but being critical enough to take any necessary pause and involve thir parties (either member of the Legal team or external counsel) when needed.
